Workshops and live demonstrations are part and parcel of the education programmes conducted by the College of Surgeons of Sri Lanka. However due to logistical and other reasons, many of these are centered around the main cities of the country. The intention of this new programme is to take the training to the hospital environment where the regional surgeons are currently practicing. The objective being to and teach new operative surgery and endoscopic procedures to make them competent in these surgical skills and boost their confidence.
